So far we have been distributing space.games.film on Vimeo and eventually on Steam. However, these two sales platforms have not been very well received. Through a survey we were able to assess where the difficulties lay. After a lot of thought and careful consideration, we decided some time ago to create a new opportunity to distribute space.games.film. The result: our own shop!
Here you can buy the movie and the soundtrack. The shop also invites you to a bit of browsing. In some places there are little hidden pop cultural references. Except in the cantina, where they are not hidden but very obvious 😉 And if you like what we do, we would be very happy if you support us by buying us a digital drink in the cantina.
For those who don’t know who we are and what we do, we have set up an extra page and named it “Starbase” in reference to the film. You can also reach it directly under: starbase.games.film
Okay, given the sheer amount of social media channels we’re not even close to being everywhere. Every person has their own preferences, both in terms of which network they like and what they want to see. We can’t and also don’t want to cover everything, especially since there are still only the two of us.
For now we prefer to limit ourselves to writing elaborate blog entries and use the social networks from time to time to post things other than games.film. So here’s a short list of our channels and what we do there.
This time there is an interview with us instead of from us. We were interviewed by Michal Graf from GameStar magazine, for which we have already done a few documentaries. Now it was our turn to stop hiding behind the camera and answer questions. Of course we talked about the GameStar documentaries produced by us, but also about how Michael and we got to know each other and therefore about space.games.film.
The unfamiliar position in front of the camera was not really appealing to us both, as you can see at one point or another. What do you think, how did we do? If you have a GameStar Plus account, you can watch it here for yourself. 😉
GameStar magazine reports about space.games.film and raffles among their “Plus” subscribers a visit to the premiere with their Gamescom editorial team. You can find the article HERE.
You’ve read correctly – our film will have its premiere during the Gamescom week and will be officially released on the 24th of August. You can buy it from then on via Vimeo and of course you can rent it as well. You can find more infos and adventures about space.games.film, the premiere and Gamescom here and on our other social media channels.
Update: You can no longer buy the film via Vimeo, but you can buy it (or even watch it for free) in our own shop!
Our space game documentary will be part of the Indie Arena Booth at the coming Gamescom. As a film, this is an absolute novum and we’re proud and feel honored about that! In the loung area at the headquarters you can watch a few scenes of the film and meet us personally.
If we’re not there the reason may be that we’re shooting the mini-documentary about this years Indie Arena Booth. Come around and take a look at the numerous Indie games. You can find us in hall 10.1, Stand A-20. More infos about the Indie Arena Booth HERE.
